Job summary

OneSchool Global York Campus is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to help students achieve their full potential and overcome barriers to learning. You will work closely with teachers, families and support staff to deliver targeted support inside and outside the classroom.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with individual plans, encourage independence and monitor progress, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students in a busy

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting.
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting student development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Organised, adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting students with SEND desirable but not essential.
• Relevant qualification in Education, Childcare or Learning Support desirable.

Responsibilities

About The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning needs both inside and outside the classroom. Working under the guidance of the Campus Principal, teachers and SENDCo, you will help deliver tailored support that enables students to engage confidently with their learning and reach their individual goals.
