Job summary

Engage Education are recruiting for a SEND Apprentice Teaching Assistant in Manchester to support children with SEN in a full-time placement for the academic year. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping to create a warm, engaging atmosphere and build meaningful rapport with students.

Apply by starting in November/December 2026; you will report to the school SENCO and be based in one Manchester school for the entire year, with potential for a permanent position after completing the

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience graduates desirable.
• Naturally outgoing and engaging with an interest in teaching.
• Open to full-time work beginning November/December 2026.

Engage Education are working with multiple SEN departments in schools across the Manchester area who are eager to secure fantastic Apprentice Teaching Assistants to provide outstanding 1:1 & small group SEN support to children with complex learning difficulties.
