Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join a Worcester primary school on a full-time basis. You will work with teachers to support pupils in learning and development, with a focus on inclusivity and positive engagement.

Ideal candidates are caring, patient and reliable, with good communication and a willingness to contribute to wider school life. DBS and safeguarding checks apply, with PAYE or umbrella payment options and CPD support.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Worcester on a full-time basis.

The role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other members of the school team to support pupils in their learning and development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with their learning, both individually and in small groups.
• Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
• Supporting the class teacher with activities and classroom organisation.
• Providing encouragement and reassurance to children who may need additional support.
• Helping to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils' social and emotional development.
• Building positive relationships with children, staff and parents/carers.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school.
