Job summary

Smile Education in Worcester is seeking caring and motivated people to support children in primary schools across Worcester. Roles include teaching assistants, 1:1 support, SEN support and pastoral assistance, with opportunities across day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements.

You don’t need prior education sector experience; experience with children or youth work is welcomed. A DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Background in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care, support work or childcare is welcome.
  • DBS and safeguarding compliance checks will be required.

Supporting children in education – Worcester primary schools

Smile Education is looking to register caring, enthusiastic and motivated people who are interested in supporting children within primary schools across Worcester. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience working with children or young people, or from candidates looking to develop their experience and build a career within education.

You may have a background in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care, support work, childcare, behaviour support or another role where you have developed strong communication and relationship-building skills.

You could be supporting children across primary age groups, helping them to engage with learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

Experience with SEN is particularly valuable, and we welcome candidates who have supported children with:

Your previous experience could come from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
