Job summary

Novus are recruiting for an enthusiastic Learning and Skills Worker to join our prison education team at HMP Oakwood. The role is permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, delivering learning support in a secure environment.

You will work closely with teaching staff to identify needs, provide individual and small group support, and help learners progress toward their goals while upholding safeguarding and an inclusive learning culture.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering learning support
• Ability to conduct assessments and support learning in groups
• Strong teamwork and collaboration
• Ability to produce accurate reports
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusivelearning

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated learning support to learners in the prison education environment
• Help learners develop confidence and essential skills
• Deliver tailored one-to-one and small group support
• Identify individual learning needs with teaching colleagues
• Contribute to an inclusive and motivating learning experience that encourages achievement and personal development
