Job summary

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth, part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, seeks a Coordinator to manage the Learning Resource Centre and promote reading across the school and community.

You will supervise pupils, run reading initiatives, support research skills, and provide regular LRC reports. Essential experience in a library/learning resource setting and strong ICT skills are required.

Qualifications

• Essential experience in a library/learning resource environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills; able to relate to students sympathetically.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and manage the LRC to ensure high-quality conditions.
• Develop and promote reading programmes and events to raise literacy standards.
• Organise ICT usage and support students in developing research skills.
• Run after-school enrichment and lunchtime activities; build community links.
• Provide regular reports on LRC needs, performance, and usage.
