Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth in Stockton-on-Tees seeks a Learning Resource Centre Coordinator to manage the LRC, including selection, cataloguing and organisation of resources, and to raise reading standards through programmes and events.

The role involves supervising pupils, promoting ICT-enabled learning, running enrichment activities, and building community links to foster reading. Start date 04/01/2027; 37 hours/week, term-time plus 5 days.

Formación

• Experience in a library/learning resource environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Experience with ICT packages and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the Learning Resource Centre (LRC): selection, acquisition, cataloguing and organisation of resources.
• Raise the profile and standards of reading through supervision and promotion of reading programmes and events.
• Supervise pupils and maintain high-quality working conditions; ensure effective ICT use and support student research skills.
• Run after-school enrichment and lunchtime activities; develop community links to promote reading.
• Provide regular reports on the LRC’s needs, performance and usage.
