Job summary

Highclare School is seeking a Learning Mentor to join our Senior School Learning Support department to provide emotional encouragement and academic support to a student with an Education Health Care Plan.

Applicants should be HLTA or equivalent, with experience in a secondary school and in adapting resources up to GCSE level, including liaising with therapists. This is a full-time post, 08:30–15:30, term time only, on a rolling fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027.

Applicants should be qualified to a minimum of HLTA, or equivalent, with experience of working in a secondary school environment and working with class teachers to adapt resources / the curriculum up to GCSE level to meet needs. Part of the role may include liaising with specialist providers such as occupational/speech and language therapists, and the delivery of their programme.

This is a full-time post, 08:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, on a rolling fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027 in the first instance.

This position is attached to a funded student. In the unlikely event that the student were to leave Highclare School, it could be subject to early termination.
