Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is recruiting for Oakfield Short Stay School to support secondary pupils at risk. You will contribute to planning, delivering and evaluating interventions and work to help students reintegrate into suitable educational paths.

Role involves collaboration with staff, agencies and families to set achievable targets and monitor progress. A DBS check is required, with flexibility for term-time and hybrid working where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs.
• Experience of supporting pupils with low attendance and delivering interventions.
• Experience of working with external agencies.
• Competence in using ICT for routine purposes.
• Ability to engage with a wide range of young people and families.

Responsibilities

• Teach and deliver pupil interventions and help evaluate progress.
• Run programmes to support reintegration and build pupils' knowledge and confidence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external agencies to set targets and inform parents.
