Job summary

Portland College is seeking a Learning Mentor for our Nottingham campus to deliver personalised study programmes aligned with EHCP outcomes. You will support learners aged 16-25 with complex behavioural needs in a nurturing, sensory-rich setting and work with therapists and delivery staff to provide holistic wraparound support.

The role focuses on embedding therapeutic teaching practices and high-quality, person-centred support tailored to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in any subject (e.g. GCSEs, functional skills, NVQ or BTec).
• Level 3 qualification in Learning Support or Health and Social Care or equivalent [or willingness to work towards].
• Level 3 in Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention (NAPPI™) [or willingness to work towards].

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised study programmes for learners aged 16-25, aligned with EHCP outcomes.
• Provide emotional resilience and self-regulation support in individual and group sessions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to offer holistic, wraparound support and therapeutic teaching practices.

Education

Level 2 in any subject
