Job summary

United Response is seeking a Learning Mentor for ROC College in Torbay/Teignbridge, supporting 16-25 learners with EHCPs in community settings. You will help develop life skills, assess progress, and deliver personalised, accredited learning.

Experience with SEND, PBS, and communication tools like Proloquo2/Makaton is preferred; training may be provided. Role is 37.5 hours per week during term time with a £13.25 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with SEND.
• PATIENT, supportive, enthusiastic and creative in delivering education.
• Flexibility to travel across the community with learners.
• Experience with PBS practice and complex behavioural needs is advantageous.
• Willingness to train in Proloquo2 or Makaton if not already proficient.

Responsibilities

• Support students aged 16-25 with EHCPs to develop life skills in community settings.
• Assess student progress and outcomes, and contribute to accredited learning.
• Provide accessible education content tailored to learners' needs.
