Job Opportunity: Mental Health Support Worker / Learning Mentor

Are you passionate about making a difference and supporting children with special needs? If you love working with children or vulnerable adults and have a background in social care or personal experience supporting SEND, this role might be perfect for you.

Protocol Education is seeking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a pupil referral unit in Maldon. You will be part of a dedicated team working primarily with children who have social, emotional, and mental health challenges. No prior experience is necessary, but a desire to help in this area is essential.

Key qualities include a friendly, positive approach to teaching and learning, and the ability to build strong relationships with individual children. A robust character is important, as challenges may arise along the way.

This is a long-term, full-time position, requiring availability five days a week from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

All pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This role is initially temporary, with potential for permanent placement later.
