We are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals who share our mission of empowering autistic young adults to lead lives full of choice and opportunity.

You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to work under pressure, and passionate about the development of the adults at our service. You should be willing to learn and work under the supervision of Supervisors and Behaviour Analysts.

Job Purpose

The role involves supporting a young adult in our Post-19 service and out in the community. Working with a team of Teaching and Learning Mentors, you will provide excellent support using Behaviour Analysis teaching methods to an autistic young adult with associated learning difficulties. You will assist the Behaviour Analyst and Advanced Skills Practitioner in ensuring the daily needs of our students are met in a professional, competent, safe, and engaging environment within our Post-19 service. You will need to follow the principles of Behaviour Analysis to enable students to access learning and acquire new skills at their own pace. Further training on Behaviour Analysis in an adult setting will be provided to the successful candidate.

You will need

• An interest in working with young adults with special needs, including autism.
• To be educated to A Level or possess a recognised childcare qualification.
• Emotional and physical resilience to meet the challenges of the role.
• Experience working with children and/or adults with special needs (desirable).
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
