Job summary

Trust Education Limited is recruiting a dedicated Full-Time Learning Manager to support a secondary school from September on a temporary contract.

You will monitor attendance, behaviour and academic progress, deliver targeted interventions, liaise with parents and external agencies, and help create a safe, inclusive environment where every student can succeed.

This pastoral role requires strong communication, organisation and safeguarding knowledge, with experience in a school setting preferred.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 English and Maths qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a secondary school.
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge.
  • Able to manage behaviour, attendance and pastoral concerns.
  • Experience working with external agencies to support vulnerable students (desirable).
  • Knowledge of the CAF (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Job description

Trust Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Learning Manager to join a welcoming secondary school on a full-time basis, starting in September on an ongoing temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pastoral professional who is passionate about supporting young people, improving attendance, behaviour and wellbeing, and removing barriers to learning to help students achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a Learning Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring the attendance, behaviour and academic progress of an assigned year group. Working closely with the safeguarding, inclusion and senior leadership teams, you will deliver targeted interventions, support vulnerable students, liaise with parents and external agencies, and help create a positive learning environment where every student can succeed.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths (or equivalent).

Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.

Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Be confident managing behaviour, attendance and pastoral concerns.

Have experience working alongside external agencies to support vulnerable students (desirable).

Have knowledge of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) (desirable).

Demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

Be able to work under pressure while managing competing priorities.

Be proficient in Microsoft Office and school management systems.

Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
