Job summary

Brockenhurst College is seeking a Learning Hub Manager to lead the Learning Hub in a dynamic, inclusive learning space. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, resource management and student support, shaping a positive learner experience.

The position is full-time, term-time only, permanent, with a salary of £33,485–£35,529 pro rata. You will work 37 hours per week across 40 weeks a year and contribute to a vibrant educational community in the New Forest region.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Learning Hub, creating an engaging, inclusive and stimulating environment for learning and study.
• Promote the Learning Hub and encourage students and staff to make the most of the facilities and resources available.
• Create exciting, interactive displays that inspire curiosity and engage with current affairs and topical themes.
• Support students with their learning needs by providing guidance and signposting them to relevant resources.
• Coordinate and deliver inductions to introduce new students and college staff to the Learning Hub and its services.
• Manage learning resources, including e-books, journals and study materials, ensuring they are current and relevant to the curriculum.
• Liaise with Directors and Curriculum Leaders to ensure resources meet student needs and support courses.
• Oversee Brock Pantry and Learning Hub shop, including stock, products and ordering.
• Manage loan of books, laptops and other equipment, including overdue monitoring.
• Maintain the Library Management System (LMS), cataloguing resources and conducting stock checks and reviews.
