Job description

Learning & Enablement Manager (326dm) – Knutsford, Cheshire - Hybrid after 3 months’ probation - up to £55,000 per annum

We are working with a growing technology business that is looking to appoint an experienced Learning & Enablement Manager to build and lead its learning and enablement function.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys creating something from the ground up.

Rather than stepping into an established function, you will have the freedom to shape the strategy, introduce new processes and develop learning programmes that make a genuine impact across the business.

As the company continues to expand, you will play a key role in ensuring employees, customers and external partners have the knowledge, skills and resources they need to succeed.

This is a highly visible position that combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both designing learning frameworks and bringing them to life.

The Role
  • As Learning & Enablement Manager, you will take ownership of developing and implementing a comprehensive learning and enablement strategy.
  • Working closely with teams across Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Partner Management, you will turn technical and commercial expertise into structured, engaging and scalable training programmes.
  • You will be responsible for everything from designing learning pathways and developing training content to introducing certification programmes and selecting the right learning technologies.
  • The ultimate goal is to create a consistent, effective and scalable approach to learning that supports employee development, strengthens partner capabilities and contributes to the company's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Strategy & Development
  • Develop and implement a learning and enablement strategy aligned with wider business objectives.
  • Build a structured learning framework that supports employees, customers and external partners.
  • Identify skills gaps and training needs across different teams and audiences.
  • Establish learning standards, processes and best practices.
  • Introduce measurable objectives to assess the effectiveness of training programmes.
Training Content & Curriculum Design
  • Design, develop and maintain engaging learning programmes, training materials and structured curricula.
  • Transform complex technical and commercial information into clear, accessible learning content.
  • Create a variety of training resources, including e-learning modules, workshops, presentations, playbooks, assessments and practical guides.
  • Ensure training content remains accurate, relevant and up to date.
  • Develop scalable onboarding programmes that help new learners become confident and productive quickly.
Certification & Accreditation
  • Design and introduce certification programmes and structured learning pathways.
  • Develop assessments to measure knowledge, competency and learner progress.
  • Establish processes for certification management, reporting and renewals.
  • Monitor certification completion rates and identify opportunities for improvement.
Learning Platforms & Technology
  • Evaluate and recommend suitable Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of learning platforms.
  • Ensure systems provide an effective and user-friendly learning experience.
  • Use reporting and analytics to track engagement, performance and training effectiveness.
Training Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Deliver training sessions, workshops and enablement programmes where required.
  • Work closely with internal subject matter experts to develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Collaborate with key departments to ensure training initiatives support operational and commercial priorities.
  • Encourage engagement and adoption of learning programmes across the business and its partner network.
  • Continuously improve training programmes through feedback, performance data and evolving business needs.
Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in Learning & Development, Training Management, Enablement or Instructional Design.
  • A strong track record of designing, developing and implementing effective training programmes.
  • Experience creating certification pathways, competency frameworks or assessment programmes.
  • Hands‑on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including their selection, implementation or management.
  • The ability to simplify complex technical information and turn it into engaging, easy‑to‑understand learning materials.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and project management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and influence key decision-makers.
  • Experience establishing new learning processes, frameworks or programmes.
  • A proactive, organised and self‑motivated approach, with the ability to manage both strategic priorities and day‑to‑day delivery.
Desirable Experience
  • Working within SaaS, Cybersecurity, Compliance or Enterprise Software environments.
  • Developing training programmes for external partners, resellers or channel networks.
  • Creating digital learning content and interactive e-learning programmes.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a growing technology business or scale‑up environment.

This offers the chance to take ownership, build something new and make a real difference within a growing organisation.

You will benefit from:
  • A blank canvas: Build and shape a new learning and enablement function rather than simply maintaining existing programmes.
  • Real ownership: Take responsibility for strategy, content, technology and programme delivery.
  • High visibility: Work closely with senior stakeholders and have a direct influence on business-wide initiatives.
  • Variety: Enjoy a role that combines strategic planning, creative content development, stakeholder engagement and hands‑on training.
  • Long‑term impact: Develop learning programmes and processes that will support the company's continued growth.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary of up to £55,000 per annum
  • Hybrid working arrangements
  • 25 days' annual leave
  • Private healthcare and dental cover through Bupa
  • Employee wellbeing and support services
  • Company pension scheme
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Free access to an on‑site gym
