Job summary

SeeMeHired.com is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities in their homes and local communities. You will provide personalised support, plan engaging activities, and promote independence while maintaining accurate digital records.

The role requires patience, resilience and a compassionate attitude, with training and progression opportunities offered by the employer.

Qualifications

• PMVA training completed.
• Strong de-escalation and behaviour management skills.
• Experience promoting independent living and routines.
• Proficient in digital care planning systems for recording.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities in homes and community.
• Plan and run structured activities to build independence and social confidence.
• Support daily living skills including meals, shopping, and routines.
• Apply PMVA techniques to manage challenging behaviours safely.
• Maintain accurate digital care notes, risk assessments and incident reports.
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDTs for positive outcomes.
