Job summary

SeeMeHired.com is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities in community settings. You will provide consistent, person-centred support, plan engaging activities, and promote independent living skills while using PMVA de-escalation techniques.

The role requires a driving licence, UK eligibility to work, and NVQ/QCF Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care. Training and development opportunities, a 24/7 support system, and a clear career path are

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
• PMVA training and de-escalation skills.
• Experience promoting independent living skills.
• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (Adults or Children).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to young people in homes and community.
• Plan and facilitate activities to build independence and confidence.
• Support daily living skills including meals and routines.
• Apply PMVA techniques and de-escalation strategies.
• Maintain digital care notes, risk assessments and incident reports.
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDTs.
