Job summary

SeeMeHired.com is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to assist young people with learning disabilities and complex needs in their homes and local communities. You will provide person-centred support, promote independence, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires empathy, resilience, PMVA training, and experience with challenging behaviour, plus a valid UK driving licence. A competitive salary, 4 weeks rota in advance, and flexible development opportunities are on

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities.
• PMVA training and de-escalation skills essential.
• Experience promoting independent living skills and routines.
• Competent in digital care planning and accurate notes.
• Valid UK driving licence and own vehicle advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities in homes and community.
• Plan and facilitate structured activities to build independence and confidence.
• Assist with daily living skills including meals, shopping, and routines.
• Apply PMVA techniques to safely manage behaviours.
• Maintain accurate digital care notes, risk assessments, and reports.
• Collaborate with families, carers and MDTs for positive outcomes.
