Hft is looking for a compassionate Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You will support independence, encourage participation in activities, and promote health and wellbeing with respect for each person’s choices.

The role requires patience, strong communication, and a flexible approach to shifts, including evenings and weekends. Prior experience is welcome but not essential; a Health and Social Care qualification pathway is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Patience, supportiveness, and respect for people’s choices.
• Positive, encouraging approach that celebrates achievement.
• Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships.
• Willingness to learn and work towards a Health and Social Care qualification.
• Confidence providing personal support when needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts.
• Experience in social care is welcome but not essential; attitude and values matter.
