Job summary

Hft is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower learning disabled adults to live life their way. You will stand alongside clients to support independence, choice and dignity in daily living.

You will encourage participation in social and community activities, promote wellbeing, and assist with personal care when needed. A positive, patient, and flexible approach is essential, with opportunities to pursue Health and Social Care qualifications.

Qualifications

• You are passionate about supporting learning disabled adults to live life their way.
• Demonstrate patience, respect for choices, and a positive, encouraging approach.
• Strong communication to build trusting relationships and effective teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and work toward a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Empower independence, choice and dignity in daily living.
• Encourage participation in social, leisure, work and community activities.
• Promote health, safety and wellbeing while respecting decisions.
• Support attendance at health appointments and medication management.
• Build independence skills and confidence over time.
• Provide personal support and assist with daily activities when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding practices.
