Job summary

Continuity of Care Services Ltd. is seeking a Learning Disability Support Worker to assist a non-verbal, profoundly deaf 18-year-old with Autism and learning disabilities in Ramsgate.

The role involves supporting him at home and in the community, promoting independence, and engaging in activities such as bowling, swimming, and transport trips. Training is provided; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• British Sign Language training is desirable; training can be provided.
• Experience in care is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support a sociable 18-year-old with complex needs to access social events and activities.
• Encourage independence and safety during activities.
• Assist with tracheostomy care and behaviours that may challenge when required.
• Support community access and social activities.
