The Vale of Glamorgan Council seeks a dedicated professional to join the Learning Disability Day Services team. You will provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, coordinate timetables of opportunity, and lead on staff supervision and performance development.

Main duties include maintaining accurate records, facilitating community engagement, and ensuring safe practices across day centres and community locations.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and establishing community networks.
• Knowledge of relevant Social Care policy, best practice and key legislation.
• A person-centred approach to plan, implement, monitor and review day services for individuals with a learning disability.
• Organised and able to manage your own workload with effective communication across stakeholders.
• Proven IT and digital skills to include Microsoft Office; good literacy and numeracy.

Responsabilités

• Provide a link worker role to allocated individuals and undertake regular reviews.
• Supervise Day Service Support Workers through effective performance management.
• Attend team meetings and undertake staff development and #itsaboutme appraisals.
• Maintain records, including financial records and generate reports.
• Coordinate and maintain day service social media/digital platforms.
• Undertake effective risk management and maintain a safe working environment.
