Job summary

Nocturnal Recruitment Solutions is seeking a confident and compassionate Residential Care Support Worker to join a well-established residential care provider in Forest Gate, East London. You will support adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, promoting independence and quality of life through person-centred care.

Key duties include helping with daily routines, arranging community activities, and transporting residents by minibus.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required for minibus driving.
• Previous experience with adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours is desirable.
• Strong understanding of person-centered care and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and behaviours that may challenge.
• Promote independence, choice and dignity, helping residents develop daily living skills.
• Support residents with personal care, routines and individual goals.
• Plan and participate in community activities, outings and social experiences.
• Drive the organisation's minibus to transport residents to activities and outings.
• Show initiative in managing daily tasks and respond to residents' needs.
• Guide, advise and support colleagues when required.
• Encourage positive behaviour and appropriate strategies for residents with complex needs.
• Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with staff and management.
