Job summary

Close Brothers Learning and Development is recruiting for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The Learning and Development Specialist will assist the Learning Business Partner with learning initiatives across the Banking Division, including induction, soft skills, management development and regulatory training.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and delivering impactful, compliant training. The position supports hybrid working and involves design, delivery and evaluation of learning

Qualifications

  • Experience of utilising a Learning Management System.
  • Experience of course development, design and delivery, including blended learning approaches.
  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders and external providers with a confident and credible approach.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills (both face-to-face and virtual).
  • Demonstrable organisational and planning ability, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the full training cycle: needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • A forward thinking with a genuine interest in learning intervention design.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first line support and advice for learning and development queries.
  • Produce, maintain and evaluate training materials for in-house courses.
  • Collaborate with the L&D Specialist team on design, delivery and facilitation of in-house learning solutions.
  • Review and evaluate external course content for relevance and quality.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure up-to-date learning solutions.

Join Close Brothers Learning and Development team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract where you will assist the Learning Business Partner with the successful running of a range of learning solutions across the Banking Division. This will include design, delivery and evaluation of learning initiatives, with specific reference to induction, soft skills, management skills, development programmes and regulatory training requirements. The Learning and Development Specialist will play a key role in the promotion of an environment that achieves positive learning outcomes.


Responsibilities


  • Provide first line support and advice for learning and development queries, ensuring advice provided is timely and meets specific business needs.

  • Produce, maintain and evaluate training materials for in-house courses, ensuring regular updates and version control in line with L&D branding.

  • Collaborate with the L&D Specialist team with regards to the design, delivery and facilitation of appropriate in-house learning solutions.

  • Review and evaluate external course content to ensure it is relevant, accurate, engaging and aligned to business priorities, learning objectives, regulatory requirements and L&D quality standards, making recommendations for improvement where appropriate.

  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts and external providers ensuring the delivery and execution of up to date, relevant learning solutions.


WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE/ARE:


  • Experience of utilising a Learning Management System.

  • Experience of course development, design and delivery, including blended learning approaches.

  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders and external providers with a confident and credible approach.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills (both face-to-face and virtual).

  • Demonstrable organisational and planning ability, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Demonstrable understanding of the full training cycle: needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation.

  • A forward thinking with a genuine interest in learning intervention design and the latest learning and development practices.

  • Confident using MS office packages - particularly Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.


IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:


  • Experience of working in a Financial Services industry.

  • Experience of project management.

  • Experience using Articulate and other online collaboration tools (e.g. Miro, Pulse Intranet).
