Job summary

Jobwise Ltd is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Advisor for a not-for-profit organisation in the Liverpool area. You will support onboarding, advise staff and managers, maintain training records and ensure compliance across the organisation.

The role involves monitoring mandatory training, producing reports in Excel, and coordinating training across services. This is a 35-hour week, temporary role for up to 3 months with weekly pay and pension benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Learning & Development, training, HR, administration or a similar role.
  • Experience providing advice, guidance or practical support to staff and/or managers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable and flexible manner.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using databases and systems to maintain records and produce reports.
  • Confident with data and able to analyse and interpret information.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive with willingness to develop IT and systems skills.
  • Good Maths and English skills.
  • Experience supporting statutory or mandatory training would be advantageous.
  • Experience delivering or supporting training workshops would be desirable.
  • Advanced Excel or database skills would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding of new starters, including training access and L&D systems.
  • Provide advice, guidance and practical support on learning, development and training requirements.
  • Maintain training records and databases ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor statutory and mandatory training, tracking e-learning completion and refreshers.
  • Produce training reports, matrices and management information using Excel and databases.
  • Assist managers to identify gaps and ensure access to required learning.
  • Plan, schedule and book training across services and assist with workshops.
  • Complete quality audits of training records for inspections.
  • Identify staff development needs and training opportunities.
  • Coordinate with HR and stakeholders to deliver effective L&D activity.
  • Provide guidance on staff using e-learning platforms and L&D systems.

Are you an experienced Learning & Development professional with excellent communication, systems and data skills, looking for an opportunity to make a real difference?
A well-established not-for-profit organisation is looking for a Learning & Development Advisor to join its supportive L&D team. The Learning & Development Advisor will provide advice, guidance and practical support to staff and managers, helping to ensure training, onboarding and compliance requirements are met across the organisation.
What will you be doing as a Learning & Development Advisor?
  • Supporting the onboarding of new starters, including ensuring appropriate training is assigned and access to L&D systems is in place
  • Providing advice, guidance and practical support to staff and managers on learning, development and training requirements
  • Maintaining accurate training records and databases, ensuring information is up to date and compliant with organisational requirements
  • Monitoring statutory and mandatory training, including e-learning completion and refresher requirements, and following up outstanding training
  • Producing training reports, matrices and management information, using Excel and database systems to analyse and interpret data
  • Supporting managers to identify training gaps, address compliance issues and ensure staff have access to the learning they require
  • Supporting the planning, scheduling and booking of training across services, including assisting with training workshops and learning activities
  • Completing quality audits of training records and preparing accurate training information and evidence for inspections and compliance purposes
  • Supporting the identification of staff learning and development needs and appropriate training opportunities
  • Working closely with HR colleagues and internal and external stakeholders to coordinate effective L&D activity
  • Supporting staff with e-learning platforms, L&D systems and IT-based learning, providing clear and user-friendly guidance

  • Previous experience in Learning & Development, training, HR, administration or a similar role
  • Experience providing advice, guidance or practical support to staff and/or managers
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable and flexible manner
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Experience using databases and systems to maintain records and produce reports
  • Confident working with data and able to analyse and interpret information
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet competing deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy and varied environment
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to develop new IT and systems skills
  • Good Maths and English skills
  • Experience supporting statutory or mandatory training would be advantageous
  • Experience delivering or supporting training workshops would be desirable
  • Advanced Excel or database skills would be an advantage
