Sainsbury's Group is seeking a Learning Designer to design and develop engaging digital and blended learning experiences that build knowledge, confidence and capability for colleagues. You'll translate complex information into clear, accessible content, collaborate with learning architects, SMEs and business stakeholders, and apply instructional design methodologies plus visual design principles.
This hybrid UK role requires managing timelines, prototyping, using feedback to improve the learner
As a Learning Designer at Sainsbury's, you'll design and develop engaging digital and blended learning experiences that help colleagues build knowledge, confidence and capability. Working closely with learning architects, subject-matter experts and business stakeholders, you'll take learning requirements from initial concept through to completed content. You'll use instructional design methodologies and visual design principles to transform complex information, including detailed processes and written documents, into clear, purposeful and engaging learning materials. You'll contribute ideas, create prototypes and use feedback to continually improve the learner experience. Depending on the learning need, your solutions could include digital learning, visual content, written resources, videos or supporting materials for blended programmes. Throughout the design process, you'll champion accessibility, inclusive design and consistency, while managing your work effectively against agreed timelines and quality standards.
You're a creative and detail-focused Learning Designer with a strong understanding of how people learn in digital and blended environments. You can take complex or technical information and turn it into content that is clear, visually engaging and easy to use. You combine instructional design expertise with strong written and visual communication skills. You're comfortable working with stakeholders and subject-matter experts, asking the right questions and using feedback to develop effective learning solutions. You'll also bring an inclusive and learner-centred approach, considering accessibility and usability throughout the design process rather than treating them as an afterthought.,
