Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Learning Assistant (Universal) for Hilltop Primary School. You will work with children to support them in their school environment and undertake duties such as reception, escorting, and classroom preparation.

The role requires PVG Scheme membership before commencing, plus good communication and interpersonal skills. A willingness to undertake NHS/education training is essential, with a focus on supporting children with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Care for children and assist with personal hygiene as needed.
• Support daily reception and departure of children and escort duties.
• Prepare classwork, set up teaching aids, and help with reprographic tasks.
• Contribute to stock maintenance of hygiene sundries.
