George Spencer Academy's Learning and Inclusion centre seeks a dedicated Learning and Progress Assistant to support students with SEND through individualised interventions and whole-class work, helping them progress academically and socially.
The role involves assisting learning in liaison with the class teacher, managing classroom behaviour, supporting welfare, and contributing to the school's ethos; some tasks occur on an annual cycle, with early application encouraged.
The Inclusion Faculty at George Spencer Academy is highly regarded. The faculty is based in the Learning and Inclusion centre which opened in 2012. We are looking for staff who want to support in taking the faculty forward and are passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.
The Learning and Progress Assistant will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the postholder will provide support to students with SEND. This will involve individualised interventions and whole class work in order to support students with their academic and social development
The nature of the Academy Year requires some of these tasks to be done regularly whilst others will be on an annual cycle.
