George Spencer Academy is seeking a Learning and Progress Assistant to support students with SEND within the Inclusion Faculty. The postholder will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working to help pupils develop academically and socially within the Learning and Inclusion centre.
The role involves assisting access to learning alongside teachers, supporting classroom management and welfare, and contributing to the school’s ethos and aims.
The Inclusion Faculty at George Spencer Academy is highly regarded. The faculty is based in the Learning and Inclusion centre which opened in 2012. We are looking for staff who want to support in taking the faculty forward and are passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people.
The Learning and Progress Assistant will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the postholder will provide support to students with SEND. This will involve individualised interventions and whole class work in order to support students with their academic and social development
The nature of the Academy Year requires some of these tasks to be done regularly whilst others will be on an annual cycle.
