Join Our Team as a Learning and Development Specialist!

Are you passionate about unleashing the full potential of individuals and organizations through transformative learning experiences? We are seeking a dynamic and talented Learning and Development Specialist to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated professionals within our learning and development team. The Learning and Development Specialist will be required to proactively promote a positive culture across the Whistl Group through the design and delivery of learning and development solutions.

These solutions will be primarily focused on the Whistl core career development framework and management capability framework, which improve business performance and support individual development. Joining our team will be rewarding, challenging, exciting, and fun!

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver the Whistl core career development and management capability framework programmes, along with other soft skills and behavioural programmes, using a blended learning approach.
  2. Support the design and continuous development of core and functional competency frameworks in collaboration with the L&D manager and business partners.
  3. Assess training needs by liaising with managers and staff.
  4. Design learning solutions that employ on-the-job learning, social learning, and formal activities, ensuring relevance and timeliness.
  5. Provide coaching and mentoring support to managers and staff as needed.
  6. Coordinate with internal and external training providers for delivery arrangements.
Administrative Duties
  1. Schedule and organize training activities, send pre-course information, support follow-up, and record activities on the LMS.
  2. Maintain training records and report on activity, impact, and evaluation.
Building Capability
  1. Develop and maintain a rolling L&D strategy aligned with broader HR strategies, reflecting changing business needs.
  2. Review and report on key learning and development performance indicators.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
  1. Collaborate with management and HR to understand business strategy and inform L&D requirements.
  2. Support the implementation of HR strategies and develop communication campaigns for learning and employee engagement.

Additional Information

This role is home-based with regular travel across Whistl sites, requiring a full driving license and access to a car. Flexibility in working hours is necessary due to the 24/7 nature of the business.
