Learning and Development Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Travel Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

Hours: 40 hours with flexible options (07:00-16:00 / 08:00-17:00 / 09:00-18:00)

Start Date: Immediate (flexible for notice periods)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Hybrid – 1 day WFH)

Culture Guru is hiring a Learning and Development Manager to join a prestigious, well-established property development company.

As the Learning and Development Manager, you'll play a crucial role in empowering the team with the skills and tools they need to succeed now and in the future.

This position involves designing engaging training programmes, delivering impactful learning opportunities, and working closely with stakeholders to keep the team ahead of industry trends.

You'll be responsible for creating an inspiring onboarding process for new joiners and leading the implementation of innovative development initiatives.

From analysing training needs to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you'll also help redefine performance review processes to support long-term success.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with department heads, People Business Partners, and the Senior Early Careers Manager to identify training needs and develop strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Design and deliver a variety of effective learning solutions, including workshops, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training.
  • Work with the Head of People to establish career development pathways and succession plans to support employee growth.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring records are accurate, systems run smoothly, and content is up-to-date.
  • Continuously assess and improve training programmes using feedback, performance metrics, and refreshed materials.
  • Develop and deliver an outstanding onboarding experience and take ownership of its implementation.
  • Lead the management of a Work Experience Programme, prioritising opportunities for local residents near key projects.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to enhance learning initiatives.
  • Support the Head of People in streamlining and implementing effective performance review processes.

Desired attributes of the successful candidate include:

  • CIPD Level 5 certification or equivalent in learning and development or a related field.
  • Proven experience in learning and development, talent management, or similar roles.
  • Understanding of training delivery methods and best practices.
  • Experience managing Learning Management Systems (LMS) or similar technologies.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Success in delivering measurable learning outcomes.
  • Ability to evaluate and track the success of initiatives.
  • Passion for fostering continuous learning and development culture.
  • Willingness to travel across London project sites as required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant technologies.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
