Job summary

Senploy is partnering with a Tower Hamlets primary school to recruit a Learning and Behaviour Mentor for an immediate start. You’ll support pupils needing extra help to stay engaged and build positive learning habits alongside teachers and the SEN team.

This role emphasises safeguarding and pupil wellbeing. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential, along with experience in schools and a calm, empathetic approach.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring for pupils needing additional pastoral or emotional support.
• Help children develop confidence, resilience and positive behaviour routines.
• Support emotional regulation, social skills and engagement in lessons.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and staff.
• Deliver tailored interventions and track progress.
• Promote positive behaviour and act as a calm, consistent role model.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.

About The Role

You’ll be supporting pupils who need a little extra help to stay engaged, regulate emotions and build positive learning habits. Working alongside teachers, pastoral leads and the SEN team, you’ll be part of the school's wider effort to remove barriers and strengthen pupil wellbeing.
