Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Production Planner to join our Reading-based team on a long-term 18-month contract, with on-site five days a week. The role focuses on balancing production demand with capability while upholding quality, safety and timely delivery across complex manufacturing programmes.

You will translate master schedules into daily plans, collaborate with manufacturing and operations, and drive continuous improvement using lean planning methods such as Kanban and push/pull systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in production planning.
• Security clearance (SC) and DV eligibility required.
• Strong scheduling and capacity planning knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate demand and supply across delivery units and translate master production schedules into detailed daily plans.
• Maintain rough cut capacity planning models and manage planning within MRP systems.
• Produce manufacturing cost estimates and ensure customer requirements are released on time.
• Support KPI reporting and contribute to lean planning, visual management, Kanban and push/pull techniques.
