Job summary

Crane Building Services and Utilities (BSU) in Hitchin, UK, seeks a hands-on Process Engineer to optimise manufacturing processes under IATF 16949. You will drive continuous improvement, develop robust process controls, and support PFMEA/DFMEA for new products.

The role requires Lean/Six Sigma expertise, experience with automated assembly systems, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• HND/degree in engineering with high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Proven Lean/Six Sigma experience and structured problem solving.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 standards and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the Value Stream using Kaizen, SMED and Six Sigma.
• Develop, validate and optimize manufacturing processes to meet IATF 16949 requirements.
• Support DFMEA and PFMEA for new products and ensure robust control plans.
• Lead cost reduction via process optimisation and capital expenditure reviews.
• Establish and maintain process capability studies and control plans.
