Glanbia in Middlesbrough is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive Lean, Operational Excellence and structured problem solving across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering and Quality to identify losses, deploy the Operational Excellence strategy and coach teams to sustain improvements with clear ownership and daily management routines. This onsite role requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor and regular reporting to site leadership.

Competenze

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related technical discipline.
• Experience in FMCG, food, pharmaceutical or high-volume manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and leading improvement projects.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong data-analysis capability using Excel and manufacturing data systems.
• Ability to work effectively on the shop floor and communicate with senior leadership.

• Support deployment of the site Operational Excellence strategy and translate performance losses into prioritised, well-governed improvement activity.
• Coach teams to solve problems at source, standardise improved ways of working and sustain results through clear ownership, visual management and effective routines.
• Promote and support a safe working environment and ensure improvement activity aligns with health and safety standards.
• Lead Lean activity focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Sustainability, including Loss Elimination events and Kaizen.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, chronic losses, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Manage a portfolio of improvement projects with clear charters, timelines and benefit targets.
