Job summary

Upland Primary School is seeking a Senior Wraparound Care Assistant to lead and manage the wraparound provision for nursery and school-age children. You will oversee daily routines, supervise staff, and ensure a safe, engaging environment in line with safeguarding and health-and-safety policies.

The role requires a Level 3 childcare qualification, experience in a preschool setting, and the ability to lead a small team during breakfast and after-school sessions.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 qualification in childcare and experience with early years settings.
• Demonstrates safeguarding knowledge and ability to manage staff on-site.
• Shows leadership in coordinating breakfast and after-school provisions.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day leadership and co-ordination of the breakfast and after-school provision for both nursery and school nursery aged children.
• Oversee the delivery of high-quality, safe and engaging wrap around care.
• Manage the preparation and organisation of resources and equipment for planned activities.
• Allocate staff roles and responsibilities to ensure appropriate supervision ratios.
• Support the Nursery Manager with staffing rotas and cover arrangements.
• Ensure that all safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed.
