Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a London-based Workplace Operations Lead to deliver and optimise the UK office experience. You will own critical operational areas, drive performance through data, and translate priorities into scalable processes and high-quality day-to-day experiences.

The role covers workplace operations, vendor management, reporting, and governance with autonomy to lead key initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a workplace, operations, or culture-related role within a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-first, hospitality-minded approach with ability to build trusted relationships and create positive employee/visitor experiences.
• Proven ability to own and manage operational functions, not just support them.
• Strong financial acumen with budget management, forecasting, and cost control.
• Experience coordinating suppliers across hard and soft facilities management; escalating issues as needed.
• Experience managing vendors and contracts with understanding of SLAs and performance.
• Highly data-driven mindset to translate insights into action.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels.
• Ability to operate autonomously with ownership and decisive decision-making.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day workplace operations to ensure a smooth, safe, and consistent office experience.
• Act as on-site point of contact; maintain spaces, services, and touchpoints to high standards.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify and resolve issues before they impact staff or visitors.
• Drive operational excellence through strong execution and continuous improvement.
• Lead workplace initiatives aligned with strategy and business needs.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimisation for UK Workplace.
• Lead procurement, PO management, and invoicing with accuracy and efficiency.
• Partner with Finance to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Manage vendor commercials, pricing negotiations, and contract renewals.
• Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and site partners; oversee supplier communication.
