Job summary

Trident Group in Birmingham is seeking a Lead Worker to provide person-centred support to customers and report safeguarding concerns in line with policy. You will empower clients to gain life skills and contribute to society while recording achievements and outcomes.

The role involves flexible, responsive service delivery, signposting to resources, partnership with external agencies, and maintaining accurate records and risk assessments in line with Health and Safety and safeguarding regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support to vulnerable people.
• Experience in a busy support environment.
• Experience keeping accurate records and compliant documentation.
• Experience using Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates accountability, reliability and punctuality.
• Maintains confidentiality and respectful communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide a flexible, responsive service in a person-centred manner.
• Signpost customers to information, support and advice.

• Complete and follow risk assessments and Health and Safety policies.
• Maintain detailed records, support plans and risk assessments.

About the role

To provide person centered support to customers, reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with policy and procedure. To support customers with life skills and empower them to make a positive contribution to society and become self sufficient; this includes recording case studies that reflect achievements of outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person centred manner


• Signposting customers to relevant sources of information, support, guidance and advice


• Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers


• Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy


• Completing and maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks).


• Ensuring all service delivery is non‑judgemental and is delivered in line with equality and diversity requirements.


• Accurately record and capture client risk information and contribute to the formation of risk management plans.


• To ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of vulnerable adults, young people and children in line with Safeguarding regulations. Play an active role in working flexibly to support the service as and when necessary.


• Follow all lone working arrangements to insure personal safety.


• Attending all training courses and delivering on the outcomes.


• Ensure that in the event of an incident that the incident management policy is followed.


• Communicate effectively; verbally, non-verbally and in writing.


• Sensitively adapt language and communication style.

Who we’re looking for?

• A working knowledge of legislation in regards to delivering support to vulnerable people.
