Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Workday FSI Financials Lead Consultant to drive a finance workstream, shaping design, configuration and delivery for insurance and broader financial services. You will work directly with customer finance teams, translating sector requirements into practical Workday solutions and guiding consultants through implementation.

Qualifications

• Lead a Workday Financials workstream through design, configuration and testing.
• Strong hands-on in at least one Financials area (R2R/financial accounting/FDM).
• Experience supporting finance operations or transformation in an FSI.
• Solid accounting knowledge: GL, subledgers, period-end close.
• Knowledge of FDM, worktags, reporting and data loads.
• Ability to lead workshops and document requirements.
• Current Workday Financials certification, with commitment to maintain.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstream discovery and design workshops.
• Design and configure Financials area with processes, rules, worktags and reports.
• Apply FSI understanding to insurance scenarios and reconciliations.
• Own deliverables, estimates and timelines; manage dependencies and risks.
• Define source mappings and validate outputs with Accounting Center teams.
• Build prototypes, documentation, tests and support UAT.
• Support data migration, cutover rehearsals and go-live readiness.
• Develop sector recipe cards, test packs and model-tenant scenarios.
• Assist presales workshops and demonstrations with the architect and sector team.
