Job summary

Expleo Defence in Belfast is seeking an experienced Work Package Manager to lead Systems & Software engineering work packages, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams and ensuring on-time, within-cost delivery to required standards.

You will own planning, schedules and progress reporting, manage dependencies and risks, and collaborate with Engineering Leads, Project Managers and Technical Authorities to drive successful programme outcomes.

Qualifications

Degree, HND/HNC or equivalent qualification in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
Professional engineering or project management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2 etc.) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of allocated Systems and/or Software engineering work packages from planning through to delivery.
Develop and maintain detailed work package plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables.
Coordinate engineering activities across Systems, Software and wider multidisciplinary teams.
Define and manage work package scope, objectives, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
Monitor progress against agreed cost, schedule, quality and technical performance targets.
Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
Work closely with Engineering Leads, Project Managers, Programme Managers and Technical Authorities.
