Job summary

Global Wind Service (UK) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead wind turbine service and maintenance projects from mobilisation to delivery, close-out and continuous improvement.

You will take end-to-end responsibility for safe, compliant and commercially sound execution, coordinating technicians, site teams, customers, vendors and subcontractors to deliver planned maintenance scopes efficiently. This role requires a practical leader with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive project management experience in wind energy.
• Experience delivering multi-disciplinary maintenance with field technicians, customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of wind turbine systems and maintenance activities across mechanical/electrical/hydraulic interfaces.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, schedules, risks, changes, documentation and customer reporting.
• Proven commitment to safe delivery in a high-risk environment; proactive safety culture.
• PM qualification or certification advantageous.
• Fluent English; travel up to 30 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead service and maintenance projects from mobilisation through delivery, close-out and lessons learned.
• Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective and campaign maintenance activities balancing priorities.
• Own project scope, programme, budget, forecast and commercial performance; monitor variances and take corrective actions.
• Translate contractual and technical requirements into practical delivery plans, work packages and resource plans.
• Coordinate technicians, supervisors, subcontractors, materials and equipment.
• Manage defects, troubleshooting and return-to-service activities; escalate risks as needed.
• Ensure work complies with contracts, legislation, procedures and wind-industry standards.
• Champion safety culture through proactive planning, risk assessments, permits and toolbox talks.
• Maintain complete project documentation and reporting for customers and stakeholders.
• Build customer relationships, manage expectations and resolve delivery issues.
• Carry out pre-start site reviews and coordinate site-specific requirements (welfare, access, logistics).
• Capture lessons learned to strengthen future maintenance planning.
