Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Wastewater Modeller to lead development of wastewater models and manage key project aspects. You will work closely with clients to build and expand Arcadis’s project portfolio, fostering collaboration and problem-solving across teams.

The role focuses on delivering innovative solutions for UK water utilities, guiding junior colleagues, and ensuring technical outputs meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater projects.
• Skilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management.
• Proficient in InfoWorks ICM and GIS software.
• Chartered engineer with ICE or CIWEM.
• Strong report-writing and data analysis skills.
• Experience with model quality assurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wastewater modelling projects and manage tasks of various scales.
• Review and verify wastewater models and survey specifications; develop strategic solutions to mitigate flooding and CSO spills.
• Provide support to designers from concept to detailed design stages.
• Review and enhance technical reports and presentations to high quality standards.
• Lead client engagement and manage project progress; mentor junior team members.
