Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals, a global industrial company, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor for our UK Thermal Power & HVDC Division based at Murton, County Durham. You will supervise daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate receipt and storage of construction materials, and coordinate with procurement, logistics, QA/QC and project controls teams to support delivery schedules.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in warehouse operations, logistics or material management.
Experience supporting large-scale EPC, industrial, energy or construction projects is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of inventory control, material traceability and warehouse best practices.
Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP is advantageous).
Excellent organisational, planning and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day warehouse operations for materials, equipment and consumables.
Receive, inspect and verify goods against orders and project specs.
Lead and coordinate warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient material handling.
Plan lift plans and RAMS; maintain accurate inventory records.
Monitor inventory levels, perform stock and cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies.
Coordinate deliveries with procurement, logistics, construction and QA/QC teams.
Ensure proper labelling, storage and safety compliance; support audits and reporting.
Prepare regular warehouse reports and KPI updates for project management.
