Job summary

Village Vet Winchmore Hill is seeking a Head Receptionist (Client Care Lead) to lead the front desk across a busy London practice. The role demands strong leadership, superb communication and a customer-focused approach to delivering exceptional pet care experiences.

You will manage daily reception operations, coordinate with clinicians, and help maintain high service standards. The position includes weekend work and potential shifts at other London sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of motivating, leading and developing a team.
• Experience in a client care environment.
• Handling customer complaints and issues with payments.
• Previous experience working as a lead or head receptionist.
• Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
• Ability to stay focused under pressure and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower the front-of-house team to deliver a polished client experience.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the branch, including admin and stock checks.
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to ensure service excellence.
• Build strong relationships with clients and their pets, providing empathetic care.
• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and appropriately.
• Cover shifts at other London practices when required.
