Job summary

Village Vet in Highgate (Linnaeus) is hiring a Head Receptionist to lead our client care team and oversee front-of-house operations. You will ensure a seamless, empathetic client experience, manage reception staff, and coordinate with clinicians to maintain high service standards.

The role requires proven leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across variable shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience of motivating, leading and developing a team.
• Experience in a client care environment.
• Handling customer complaints and issues with payments.
• Previous experience working as a lead or head receptionist.
• Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and empower front of house teams to deliver outstanding client care.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the practice reception and administration.
• Collaborate with clinicians and support staff to ensure a polished client journey.
• Engage with clients and their pets, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Cover shifts at other London practices if required.
