Freight Island Newcastle is seeking a proactive Venue Duty Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, bar and floor management, and live event delivery. You will lead on-trade service, maintain safety standards, and ensure exceptional guest experiences across high-energy, multi-use spaces.

Reporting to the GM/Assistant GM, you will drive service standards, assist with brunches and private hires, and maintain strict health, safety, and licensing compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in supervisory roles within high-volume hospitality venues.
• Valid Personal Licence holder.
• Solid understanding of bar management and FOH service steps.
• Experience coordinating private hires, corporate activations, or live events.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and licensing standards.

Responsabilités

• Lead opening and closing procedures and ensure trade readiness.
• Oversee on-floor management and hospitality standards during trading hours.
• Escalate and resolve operational issues quickly with a proactive approach.
• Ensure licensing, health & safety compliance, and incident logging.
• Manage operational delivery for private hires and live events.
