Freight Island in Newcastle is seeking skilled bartenders to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for delivering drinks to a high standard, setting up bar stations, and supporting the day-to-day running of the bar in a fast-paced, vibrant venue.

We value a can-do attitude, fluency in English, and a welcoming personality to create an unforgettable guest experience. Prior cocktail experience is advantageous, and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ bartending experience.
• Experience in a similar unique venue or nightclubs would be an advantage.
• Cocktail experience is desirable but not essential.

We are looking for Bartenders, to join the Freight team! You will need to be available for work Friday & Saturday.

Our Bar Team play an essential part in our guest’s journey, keeping the service smooth, the drinks flowing and working hard to create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where our guests can enjoy the Freight Island experience. You will report into the Bar Supervisors & Bar Managers on duty & will be allocated stations of the bar to create a consistent and outstanding bar service

You MUST have weekend availability to be considered.

What you’ll need:

• A minimum of 2 years’ bartending experience
• Experience in a similar unique venue or nightclubs would be an advantage
• Cocktail experience is desirable but not essential!
• A can-do attitude and calm head when it gets busy
• An infectious smile and outgoing personality to create a great buzz and customer experience
• Phenomenal communication skills
• Able to deliver high standards consistently
• Fluent English (spoken and comprehension)
