Job summary

GXO is recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager in Brinklow, Milton Keynes, to lead the on-site transport operation for Waitrose. The role covers planning, driver management and ensuring compliance with HACCP, O Licence and health and safety standards.

Working a 5 from 7 rotating shifts 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, you will drive performance, oversee agency staff and subcontractors, and contribute to a high-performing logistics team. CPC/IOSH are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Transport managerial experience in a complex, unionised environment, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong background in Food Service Logistics.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) would be an advantage.
• IOSH would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance in accordance with food handling procedures (HACCP) and NSF guidelines.
• Daily management of drivers, agency staff and sub-contractors on shift including managing people performance for sickness, absence, time keeping, and disciplinary/grievance investigations.
• Planning resources to ensure activities on shift are achieved, the rotas for the next set period are fully prepared including agency bookings.
• Ensure full O Licence compliance in relation to fleet management.
