Job summary

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Tobacco Treatment Advisor to lead and develop tobacco dependency treatment across hospital pathways. You will deliver holistic tobacco treatment assessments, provide evidence-based interventions, and support staff across inpatient, outpatient, ED, and staff services.

The role emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and training of Band 3 advisors.

Qualifications

• Deliver tobacco treatment assessments, advice and support using behavioural change approaches.
• Holistic and compassionate assessments tailored to individual goals.
• Strong understanding of tobacco dependency treatment pathways across inpatients, outpatients, ED.
• Collaborate with other services to ensure seamless continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop Band 3 Tobacco Treatment Advisors.
• Liaise with Medical, Pharmacy & Nursing staff to make nicotine replacement therapy recommendations.
• Provide advice on nicotine-containing products and related guidelines.
• Engage other healthcare professionals to drive service improvements.
